Six Years Later

We've just come back from paradise - as we've just spent 3 weeks in Les Omergues under the warm provençal sun. As Ben and I were married in Les Omergue's six years ago, it's always nice to return. This time, though, we were able to show Jack the inside of the chapel. 'It's too cute,' he exclaimed before going on to 'remind' us that he'd married us just last week! You see, time is still a bit vague for Jack and so something that happened yesterday will be referenced as something that happened a month ago.

I can't really criticise him as time itself seems to be playing tricks on me. Emma is now a year old and so full of mischief that we can't help but smile when we're beside her. She's learning to walk and stands up by herself and all that means that she's always into trouble: sucking stones, eating lego, going where she's not allowed....

Jack, meanwhile, is just himself. He rides his bike (without stabilisers) like a beast, jumping off the pavement, hurtling down dirt tracks and, inevitably, falling off. He's just grand and seems to have changed so much recently. Good thing, too, as he returns to school in a couple of weeks and now will be in the 'moyen/middle-sized kids' section. Good luck to us all!

Hoping you're all doing well and are having a fantastic summer, wherever you are in the world,
:-)

Wow - six years - it doesn't seem that long - congratulations to you two! I suppose you have those 2 gorgeous little people to show that a few years have actually gone by.

I saw photos of your wedding and it looked a beautiful, happy, sunny family affair and really wished I had been there. It was funny to see so many familiar family faces in a completely different setting. I just wanted to sit down and have a big catchup with them all after so many years away.

Love to all,
Lesley

Lesley,

Your message made me sigh with understanding - living away from Scotland brings us so many rich experiences but, goodness, it leaves us with that 'want' to sit down and have a big catch up with those far away. hugs to you and your family, Robynx
